Vice President’s Message

Welcome and greetings in the most exquisite name of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Tau Zeta Omega chapter! Our chapter resides in Webster, Texas. However, our chapter membership stretches from Webster, Texas throughout the Metropolitan Houston area. On January 18, 1992, eighteen incredible women established Alpha Kappa Alpha Tau Zeta Omega chapter. I am extremely proud to say that many of the charter members are still active in our sorority today. They are sisters that have cast their pearls on good solid ground build on faith. What a true testament of loyalty, resiliency, and perseverance. If you are an Alpha Kappa Alpha woman, looking for a chapter home, it is my pleasure and indeed an honor to invite you to come and visit during one of our chapter meetings. Our meetings are held every second Saturday of the month. (For time and location please send an email to the website).

Tau Zeta Omega, have established a consistence presence in the Webster, Friendswood, and Pearland area by engaging the community in our service programs and scholarships. Tau Zeta Omega chapter is committed to developing relevant and purposeful programs that support scholarship and service that will enrich the lives of our community.

In 2016-2018, we will continue to align our programs with the International program focus on Launching New Dimensions of Service, and address the community needs in five target areas:

  1. Educational Enrichment
  2. Health Promotion
  3. Family Strengthening
  4. Environmental Ownership
  5. Global Impact
